Former Jets greats to serve as training camp scouts

It’s been a minute since D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Calvin Pace were suiting up for the New York Jets, but they’ll be hitting the field for the Gang Green once again this year.

Both former standouts for the Gang Green, Ferguson and Pace will be returning to the team in a scouting capacity during this year’s training camp practices.

Hines Ward, former star wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, will also be serving as a coaching intern for the Jets during training camp. Ward is one of four Bill Walsh coaching interns serving the team this year, while Ferguson and Pace will be joining via the Nunn-Wooten Scouting Fellowship (via team reporter Olivia Landis):

The scouting fellowship, named in honor of Bill Nunn, longtime personnel director for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and John Wooten, a former NFL player and front-office executive, is part of the NFL’s Football Development program.
