Wide receiver Brandon Marshall and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick showed some chemistry during their first extended game action together.
Marshall finished with four catches for 62 yards against the Falcons in Friday night’s 30-22 preseason win, an average of 15.5 yards a catch. Most of the passes were short routes and Marshall extended them into big gains.
The duo also connected on a two-point conversion.
Marshall’s size at 6-foot-4, 230 pounds makes him nearly impossible to cover on short routes when he can use his leverage. Marshall was covered on some plays by former Jets cornerback Phillip Adams.
