Dolphins QB rips ‘classless’ Jet for celebrating crushing hit

Calvin Pryor and Ryan Tannehill

This must’ve been what Rex Ryan and John Idzik imagined when they selected Calvin Pryor in the first round of the 2014 draft.

The decision-makers who made Pryor a Jet are gone, the coaches who attempted to fit a square peg into a round hole by using Pryor as a center fielder instead of a big hitter are no longer around, but Pryor is beginning to live up to the hype that accompanied his arrival.

Sunday was the latest example of how far he has come, flying all over the field, and sending an early message by knocking out Dolphins wide receiver Rishard Matthews with a crushing hit in the Jets’ 38-20 victory at MetLife Stadium.
