The frustrating rookie season of Jets wide receiver Devin Smith is over.
Smith suffered a torn right ACL in Sunday’s win over the Titans and is out for the remainder of the season.
“It’s a tough break for him,” Jets coach Todd Bowles said Monday on a conference call. “He was coming along. He was starting to play faster and he was finding his place in the offense. He’s a young guy, so hopefully we can get it done and he come back stronger next year.”
Smith played 10 games this season, catching nine passes for 115 yards and one touchdown.
