Despite 1-5 record, Robert Saleh says Jets won't hold fire sale

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Robert Saleh said the Jets won’t hold a fire sale before Tuesday’s trade deadline.

The Jets are 1-5 and appear headed for another dismal season. But Saleh said they won’t treat this deadline as they did last year when the Jets were winless.

General manager Joe Douglas dealt Steve McLendon to Tampa Bay, Avery Williamson to Pittsburgh and Jordan Willis to San Francisco for draft capital. Saleh said he’s "in complete lock-step" with Douglas in their approach this year.

"If it’s something that will help us, great," Saleh said. "If it’s not, great.
