Davis Webb wasn’t the only Jets quarterback cut

A year after getting cut by the Giants, quarterback Davis Webb was cut by the Jets on Saturday.

Webb, the Giants’ third-round pick in 2017, was among the cuts the Jets made to get their roster down to 53 players. The Jets also cut Luke Falk, meaning they are going into the season with just two quarterbacks on their roster — Sam Darnold and Trevor Siemian.

Webb was a surprise cut by the Giants last year, but the Jets letting him go was not a surprise. He spent last season mainly on the practice squad, but he did see some time on the active roster in the second half of the season.
