Could Jets target Marcus Davenport in NFL Draft? | Scouting report

It's been a long, long time since the Jets had a dominant edge-rushing threat. You likely have to go back to John Abraham, who last played for New York in 2005.

The Jets have tried to replace the future Hall of Famer. They've used draft picks (Vernon Gholston, Quinton Coples, Lorenzo Mauldin), and veteran signings (Aaron Maybid, Jason Babin, Calvin Pace). None have, from a pass-rushing perspective, really worked out.

Could the Jets go back to the draft well again, hoping to finally find a premier edge defender?

It's certainly a possibility, assuming New York finds a way to woo quarterback Kirk Cousins in free agency.
