Sam Darnold is returning this week, but one of his reliable targets seems unlikely to join him.
Jets tight end Chris Herndon was scheduled to re-join the Jets this Sunday after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. However, Herndon suffered a hamstring injury while running routes on his own on Friday, Jets coach Adam Gase said on Wednesday.
Gase told reporters that the injury was a “legit hamstring” and “not ideal.”
