Calvin Pryor's status for Oakland game still in doubt

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Safety concerns are mounting for the Jets.

With Calvin Pryor still unable to practice because of a sprained ankle and Jaiquawn Jarrett now on injured reserve, Todd Bowles will have to make do with what he has against Oakland.

"We got two on the practice squad that we can potentially bring up," the Jets coach said Thursday, referring to Ronald Martin and Rontez Miles. "We just have to mix-and-match with some corners and hope nobody else gets hurt."

Bowles said Pryor "got a little better today," but he'll wait to see how the second-year safety feels over the next two days before determining Pryor's status for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
