The one thing that would benefit Bryce Petty the most is the one thing the Jets won’t give him right now: more game action.
Fans got a glimpse of the second-year quarterback in Week 10 when Petty made his first NFL start against the Rams. But that opportunity wasn’t a matter of faith, however. It was out of necessity. With Ryan Fitzpatrick hindered by a sprained left knee, Todd Bowles turned to Petty. But he did little to inspire more confidence among the coaching staff.
