The Jets have placed five players on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list as training camp gets ready to kick off. Offensive tackles Mekhi Becton and George Fant, tight end CJ Uzomah, DE Carl Lawson and guard Dru Samia.
As reported yesterday, the team officially signed cornerback Craig James. To make room for James, tackle Greg Senat was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list.
None of the moves come as a surprise as teams routinely place players returning from injuries on the PUP list early on in camp.
