Another Jets offensive lineman may be finished for year

Brandon Shell spent his Sunday morning undergoing an MRI exam after suffering a potentially serious knee injury in Saturday’s loss to the Texans.

The Jets right tackle was blocking in the third quarter when his legs got rolled up on by the pile and he went down in pain. Shell had to be taken off the field on a cart and was replaced by Brent Qvale.

Coach Todd Bowles was unsure of the severity of the injury as of Sunday morning, but with only two games left, Shell’s season could be over.

“Not yet, but I don’t think he’ll be back anytime soon,” Bowles said.
