C.J. Mosley revealed last week that new Jets coach Adam Gase spoke about chasing the Patriots in his first team meeting.
On Tuesday, Gase got to clarify what his message was.
“My point to the whole thing is, we’re behind,” Gase said. “They got a big head start, multiple years, a decade-plus, almost two. We have to work hard, and when we’re in the building we have to do everything we can to get better because we’re playing catch-up.”
Guard Kelechi Osemele laughed when asked how close the Jets are to catching the Patriots, who have won the past 10 division titles.
