The Jets were optimistic about coming off a big win and a mini-bye, taking their surprising season on the road to Central Florida, and continuing their climb back to .500. On the surface, Tampa Bay looked like a good opponent, reeling from a five-game losing streak and missing starting quarterback Jameis Winston.
But the Buccaneers' defense came out fired up, erecting roadblocks on almost drive against and the Green & White offense. And with old Jet Ryan Fitzpatrick up to the challenge of moving the Bucs to three field goals and a late touchdown, the Bucs handed the Jets a frustrating 15-10 loss at Raymond James Stadium.
