So… here’s the thing. Mock drafts are fun. They take time to break down team needs and wants and find the perfect fit, but they’re a blast to work on.
But trying to predict the 2021 NFL Draft is a nearly impossible task. Houston continues to balk at the reality that they need to trade Deshaun Watson, but reports earlier this week are that he would waive his no-trade clause for three teams picking in the top eight overall picks (Dolphins, Jets and Panthers).
If/When that happens, the entire complexion of the first round – indeed, the entire draft – changes.
