The fight between Jets lineman Chris Ward and Raiders defensive end is what's most remembered about this game. But the Jets went into LA one week after thumping the defending AFC champion Bengals on the road and pulled out a 17-14 playoff upset that was cinched with a Scott Dierking 1-yard run with 3:45 to play, and two late interceptions by linebacker Lance Mehl.
