Jets Rumors: Jets to draft Teddy Bridgewater if available?

In Jets rumors today, the New York Jets could be looking at a certain starting quarterback out of Louisville if his draft stock has fallen as many experts are predicting.

GangGreenNation.com and ProFootballRumors.com's Rob Dire posit that the New York Jets could select former Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater if he falls to them in the first round of May's NFL Draft:

"While the Jets have Geno Smith and Michael Vick in the fold, Bridgewater could represent the long-term solution at quarterback that some fans and pundits hope Smith can still become. It also increases the trade value of the pick should the Jets decide to move down in the draft, as teams moving up to take a quarterback are often willing to overpay in a trade."

The New York Jets have not yet been rumored to be coveting a quarterback in the first round by most NFL Draft experts. However, if the New York Jets are worried about Michael Vick's injury history and whether or not Geno Smith can truly develop into the quarterback of the future -- the Jets may very well take a hard look at Bridgewater if available.
