WFAN will carry 30 Islanders games this season, the station announced on its morning “Boomer and Carton” show.
Co-host Craig Carton said the radio team of Chris King and Greg Picker will be back, but that Carton and Boomer Esiason will call one game.
WFAN has been the home of the Devils and will continue to carry their games, 59 of them this season.
The Islanders appeared on WFAN regularly during the playoffs last season, but have lacked an outlet of that magnitude in recent regular seasons.
The Islanders have not announced their radio home for the other regular-season games, but all games are expected to continue to be simulcast by Hofstra’s WRHU.
