The Islanders know they need to win low-scoring, tight games. This was Exhibit A.

All the Isles ended up needing was a goal in the first five minutes of the game to eventually take a 2-0 win over the Coyotes on Sunday afternoon at the Coliseum. Goalie Robin Lehner picked up his fifth shutout of the season while starting both games of this weekend back-to-back.

The Islanders (44-25-7) were coming off a good 4-2 win over the Flyers in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, settling things down a bit after consecutive games in which they got shut out by a combined score of 9-0.
