There will be no supplemental discipline for Mikko Rantanen after a scary hit on NY Islanders' Alexander Romanov

It was a tough scene watching Alexander Romanov crash into the boards in last night's NY Islanders 3-2 victory over the Dallas Stars.

As the Stars were chasing a tying goal, Mikko Rantanen dumped a puck into the zone, looking to retrieve it from the end boards. A few feet away from the boards, Rantanen pushed Romanov to his knees, sending him flying into the boards face-first.

No further discipline for Rantanen

After a few minutes on the ice, where both teams' trainers came onto the ice to assist, Romanov was helped off the ice while hunched over.
