Oliver Wahlstrom finding his way, but will it be enough to make Islanders' roster?

The top 12 forwards essentially have been established, at least in Barry Trotz’s mind. The coach, without naming his starters, is now trying to figure out which extras the Islanders will carry.

So where does Oliver Wahlstrom fit?

The 11th overall pick in 2018 again will be in the Islanders’ lineup when they face the Devils on Saturday afternoon in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in their first of three home preseason games at Webster Bank Arena.

Wahlstrom, who had 12 goals and nine assists in 44 games and a goal and two assists in five playoff games before being sidelined by a lower-body injury, offers the Islanders a much-needed sharpshooter.
