The New York Islanders officially released their 2025-26 regular season schedule on Wednesday at 1 PM, along with the rest of the league. Still, it was veteran forward Cal Clutterbuck who stole the show in a viral video that accompanied the announcement.
In a light-hearted twist, the Isles dropped their schedule with a comedic video starring Clutterbuck as part of their “IslesU” summer internship program. The 37-year-old former winger turned TV analyst leaned into the role, delivering deadpan humor as he participated in mock intern duties while being tasked with the schedule release.
The video opens with Clutterbuck entering the program and taking a Zoom call for his assignment, ahead of playing a game of “Two Truths and a Lie,” dryly claiming that he has five kids, played in the NHL, and owns a dog.
