Noah Dobson Traded to Canadiens for 1st-round picks, Heineman [Updated]

UPDATE: Noah Dobson is being traded by the New York Islanders to the Montreal Canadiens, with a max-term extension at $9.5 million AAV in place, tweets Elliotte Friedman. Friedman soon updated to say the return for the Islanders includes both of Montreal’s first-round picks (#16 and #17) and 23-year-old LW Emil Heineman.

Below continues this morning’s original post.

Noah Dobson appears to be headed out from the Islanders via trade if widespread Draft Day reporting comes true. The leading candidates appear to be the Columbus Blue Jackets or Montreal Canadiens, but so many reporters are weighing in on this likelihood that the final destination could still surprise people.
