It's the first game ever. Not the first hockey game ever, but the first regular season NWHL game ever.
The first regular season NWHL game is upon us as the New York Riveters take on the Connecticut Whale. The Riveters are coming off of preseason losses to FDNY and the Minnesota Whitecaps and will look to rebound against the Whale. The Whale beat Minnesota in the preseason and also downed the Connecticut Junior Rangers U18 team. If one believes in the voodoo witchcraft that is momentum, they would expect the Whale to carry a bit of an advantage coming into this game.
