This past June, the New York Islanders dealt Travis Hamonic to the Flames for three future prized draft picks that includes Calgary’s first and second-round picks in the upcoming 2018 NHL Draft.
At the time it was not discussed enough how much value the Isles received for Hamonic. This deal has a chance to be a windfall for the Isles.
Calgary’s Playoff Chances
The Flames are a good team. Having said that in today’s NHL universe of extreme parody the playoffs are far from a guarantee for Calgary.
The Flames are off to a decent start at 5-4-0.
