In 2017-2018, Ryan Hitchcock went from being the Captain of Yale to the first line with the New York Islanders affiliate the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He played 16 games with the Sound Tigers this past year.
In those 16 games, he had nine points (three goals, six assists). Obviously, the Sound Tigers value him if he was bumped up to the first line so quickly.
He was rewarded for his play, Bridgeport decided to give him a two-year contract to stay with the team. The 22-year-old Manhasset native is returning home, slightly.
Hitchcock played with the Long Island Gulls from 2009-2011.
