Robin Lehner is a free agent. The New York Islanders goaltender finished the season 25-13-5 with a 2.13 GAA and a .930% save percentage, and six shutouts. He was the backbone of this Islanders team and was never afraid to be vocal and stand up for his players when things got rough in the crease.
If you don’t know, Lehner had a severe drinking problem, along with mental health issues. It was something that brought him so low, but he wound up on top. He wrote a great piece for The Athletic, speaking on his problems and where they took him.
