Labor Day always signifies the end of Summer, so I guess it’s fitting that the New York Islanders have their prospects reporting tomorrow. The summer months can draw out long, but once the calendar flips to September, it’s essentially back to hockey.
There’s a lot of competition in Training Camp this year and you’d have to assume the prospects are going to get a long hard look in Training Camp.
As it stands now, the Isles have an open spot in the top six. Yes, Anthony Beauvillier seems like the frontrunner but camp allows just about everyone the opportunity to see ice time.
