The Islanders would like to repeat Thursday night’s contest at the Garden. They will take on the Rangers tonight, with puck drop at 7:00 p.m. The Isles’ broadcast is on MSG+.
They will have to do it without Semyon Varlamov, it seems. It looks as though he took a stinger off his throat in warm-ups.
Which means, as the tweet provides, that Ilya Sorokin will make his NHL debut tonight. Tough to have to do it on short notice, but a little trial by fire might be even better.
Other than the change to Sorokin, the Islanders lineup remains unknown.
