New York Islanders Daily: Prospect Ruslan Iskhakov Stretchered Off After Big Hit

In a game between the UConn and Quinnipiac hockey teams, there was an extremely scary moment in last night’s game that featured New York Islanders prospect, and 2018 second round pick Ruslan Iskhakov.

Ruslan, after just recently scoring his first career NCAA goal, was trying to carry the puck into the offensive zone before he was absolutely leveled.

The Quinnipiac defender left his feet and went up high on the five-foot-eight Iskhakov and left him down on the ice for minutes. Brogan Rafferty, who delivered the dirty hit received a five-minute major penalty for the hit.
