After playing one year of college hockey at Boston University, former New York Islanders first-round draft selection Kieffer Bellows is playing his first action in the WHL. So far, Bellows has dominated.
In seven games, Bellows has seven points with the Portland Winterhawks. Through almost 10 percent of the season, Bellows is a point per game player.
Granted, the sample size is rather small, it’s reassuring to see him grow and develop quickly at the next level. Bellows has some pretty lofty expectations for himself, he said over the summer that he has plans of making the Islanders roster next year.
