After a rather lethargic loss, the night before in Anaheim the New York Islanders put on a show in Los Angeles. The Islanders dropped a seven spot, six of the goals went in on Jonathan Quick who is one of the best goalies in the league.
In the first period, things were rather normal, Casey Cizikas scored his third of the year and Tyler Toffoli tied things up on the power play. Even in the second period, with a Josh Bailey and Valtteri Filppula goal, a 3-1 lead doesn’t scream blowout.
It was the third period of play where the Islanders dominated.
