New York Islanders Daily: Anthony Beauvillier Latest Scratch Victim

It certainly feels like Jack Capuano is back coaching the New York Islanders, doesn’t it? The power play is awful and veterans are getting the nod over young exciting players. Doug Weight has shied away from his youth movement.

Not even a month ago, Weight came out and said that he would play rookies and younger players over veterans if they were outplaying them. Since then, Josh Ho-Sang was scratched on opening night, Ryan Pulock can’t buy himself into the lineup and Anthony Beauvillier has been scratched the last two times out.

Here’s Weight’s explanation for sitting Beau:
