With a possible injury to Jordan Eberle and with Casey Cizikas being placed on injury reserve, the New York Islanders called up Oliver Wahlstrom up from the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
The eleventh overall pick in 2018 has only played four games this season in the AHL but has already looked impressive. In those four games, Wahlstrom has three points (one goal and two assists).
Factor in the five games he played with the Sound Tigers at the end of the 2018-19 season, Wahlstrom has six points in nine AHL games.
