New York Islanders Bode Wilde Named OHL Second Team All-Star

Bode Wilde fell to the New York Islanders with the 41st pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He was supposed to be a first-round pick, but for some reason, teams shied away from the 6’3″ blueliner.

It felt like an absolute steal then, and it still feels like an absolute steal now.

Wilde finished the 2018-19 OHL season with 19 goals and 70 points. He helped the Saginaw Spirit finish second in the Western Conference and push them to the third round of the OHL playoffs where they were eliminated in seven games by the eventual Champions, the Guelph Storm.
