Josh Ho-Sang’s roller-coaster Islanders career takes another twist

Josh Ho-Sang finished the Islanders’ preseason on rocky terms with the organization, but the tumultuous relationship took a turn Tuesday.

General manager Lou Lamoriello confirmed that the right-handed winger would rejoin the Islanders’ AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, after training on his own since the end of training camp. When Ho-Sang failed to make the Isles’ opening night roster and was subsequently waived, the 23-year-old requested a trade.

In early October, Lamoriello told Ho-Sang not to report to Bridgeport while he tried to work out a trade. As a result, the No. 28 pick in the 2014 draft hasn’t logged a single minute in the NHL or AHL for the last three months.
