The Islanders trimmed their roster to 28 players on Monday by assigning Josh Ho-Sang and others to their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport.
Those players sent to Bridgeport include Ho-Sang, Sebastian Aho, Kieffer Bellows, Michael Dal Colle, Ben Holmstrom, Jeremy Smith, Travis St. Denis and Parker Wotherspoon.
Noah Dobson also was assigned to junior league team, Acadie-Bathurst, of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The Isles' roster now consists of 17 forwards, nine defensemen and two goaltenders in training camp.
