The Islanders try to stop their slide at two regulation losses as they host the Devils for a Saturday night on Long Island.
Ben Hutton will make his Islanders debut at Scott Mayfield’s expense, while Ilya Sorokin will start opposite Jake Allen, which would move the Russian past Rick DiPietro into second place on the all-time franchise list in games played by a goalie. At 319 games, that’s where he’ll stay; he’s not catching Billy Smith (674).
