Islanders trade away 2017 first-round draft pick: Where is he now?

The New York Islanders don’t have a great prospect pool. They might have a bit more talent than they get credit for but they don’t have any bluechip top-end guys in the system waiting to make the NHL.

Some of that weakness can be attributed to the fact that over the last five years they’ve made four picks in the first round.
