The New York Islanders signed Mathew Barzal to a three-year $21 million extension. Barzal can now report to camp and participate.
The big news of the offseason has finally happened! The New York Islanders and Mathew Barzal have reached an agreement on a new contract. According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Barzal has signed to a three-year $21 million deal ($7 million AAV).
As an unsigned RFA, Barzal was back on Long Island and on the Training Camp roster but was unable to participate because he didn’t have a contract.
