7! Seven! Seeeeeven! Man. Longest win streak for this franchise in almost 30 years. Nice to get there against a division rival in the Flyers. Soak it in and let it carry you through the week, since the Islanders don’t play again until Friday.
Interestingly enough, for the second time in as many weeks, the Islanders come out of a four-day break with a home-away back-to-back: last week it was home vs. Coyotes, away vs. Senators; this week, it’s home vs. Lightning, away vs. Sabres. I think this weekend will be a bit tougher than last, but you gotta love the way they’ve been playing of late.
