The first 19 minutes of this game was damn near perfection for the New York Islanders. For the second game in a row, JG Pageau got the Islanders on the board on the power play no less 8:20 into the game.
At the 16:34 mark, Jordan Eberle would net his 15th of the year courtesy of Anders Lee and Mathew Barzal. That first line has been playing great in this recent stretch and it continued on that goal as each one of them were involved in the play.
With a 2-0 lead, things were looking up for the Islanders.
