Teenage sensation, Matthew Schaefer has once again sent hockey twitter into an absolute frenzy. This time following his outstanding performance on Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Debates have been popping up all week about his "snub" from Team Canada's Olympic roster, and this game just added fuel to the fire.
Schaefer: The Difference Maker
Schaefer recorded two goals, including the overtime winner in the Islanders 4-3 victory. The overtime goal almost blew the roof off of UBS Arena, see video below. This marked the second time this season that the 18-year old put up two goals in a single game.
