The Islanders will be in Columbus this evening to wrap up their road trip against the Blue Jackets, their first meeting of the season with their new division rivals.
Last season, the Islanders went 3-1 against the Jackets, but they dropped their last meeting with them while Columbus was in the midst of its late-season surge that earned them the last wild card and that carried them through a sweep of the top-seeded Lightning. They’re a much different team now, though.
