Since we also found out that the NHL is planning on a 24 team playoff format, this isn't too much of a surprise. According to Laura Curran, this also means that construction at Belmont can resume in Phase 1.
Initially, the Belmont Arena was deemed essential but on March 27, that came to a close. Exactly two months later to the day in fact, the arena will resume construction on Wednesday.
