We’re just over three months from puck drop at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, marking the first time NHL players will be present at the games since 2014 in Sochi.

The NHL will pause its schedule during the games, but it remains uncertain whether any NY Islanders players will be called up to represent their nation.

Sweden, which last won the Gold Medal in 2006 in Turin, will be one of the favorites along with Canada, the USA, and Finland.
