The New York Islanders have seen their fair share of ups and downs over the past ten years. They were mostly in a rebuilding stage, and saw many different players come in and out. There was not too much stability like there finally is now.
Let’s look back ten years ago at the 2005-06 New York Islanders’ roster and see where they all are now.
This was the year just after the lockout and they missed the playoffs for the first time in four seasons. GM Mike Milbury and coach Steve Stirling were both fired.
Miroslav Satan- Satan was recently named the GM for team Europe at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey,about a year after retiring in the KHL.
