He heard it when Plaxico Burress, Amani Toomer and Steve Smith were running routes for him. He heard it when Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz and Mario Manningham were catching passes from him.
Manning heard it again Tuesday, regarding Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard (and tight end Evan Engram).
“Yes, there is a lot of talented players and you see some young guys and you need some young guys to step up, and we’ve added some veteran guys and some of the other guys who have been here a couple of years,’’ Manning said.
