There is still no definitive timeline for Giants receiver Victor Cruz's return, but the medical staff seems to believe he will be back before the bye in Week 11. That was their conclusion two weeks ago, anyway, when Cruz re-injured his calf in practice in an attempt to take the field against the Bills in Week 4.
At that time, the Giants considered putting Cruz on injured reserve with a designation to return.
"This was thoroughly discussed when he injured himself the last time," Tom Coughlin said. "The doctors battled for him being back before the time would be up on the IR.
