John Mara has calmed down some in the 3 1/2 weeks since he learned that Jason Pierre-Paul blew up his hand in a fireworks accident on July 4th. But he’s still angry about what happened, and more than a little perplexed about the bizarre cone of silence JPP has been in ever since.
It’s been a “fiasco,” as Tom Coughlin called it. And it’s gotten so bad that Mara even made this startling admission on Thursday when the Giants opened camp without JPP:
“We don’t know how extensive the damage is. That’s the problem,” Mara said. “I don’t know how many fingers he has.
